Ernest and Delia are celebrating their wedding anniversary. Not long-wed Malcolm and Kate are preparing for a house-warming party - to which Jan will go alone, leaving husband Nick bed-ridden with a badly sprained back. Comic chaos ensues with the arrival of Trevor, one of life's emotional walking wounded, and Susannah, neurotic and hysterical in equal measure.
