Afterglow Genesis Tribute Band
By Afterglow

The idea behind Afterglow is to cover the music Genesis played once Phil Collins took on vocal duties. The earlier Gabriel period is well supported by numerous tribute bands but there isn't much opportunity to hear those later tracks that are equally popular with most Genesis fans.

Afterglow are not the kind of tribute act that attempts to reenact a particular tour or even look like the original artists but rather to recreate the music that Genesis played over the years. So don't expect costumes or Mellotrons catching fire. Do expect to hear the music played with authentic sounds and fastidious detail. Everything from A Trick of the Tail right up to We Can't Dance... with a few oldies thrown in for good measure!

Bully Beef and Whizzbangs
By Chris Hawley

A BlackBox Theatre Company production

Following the enormous success of BOUNCERS last year, BlackBox will be on tour again this autumn with a specially commissioned play to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

Set in the battlefields of France during 1916, the multi-award winning BULLY BEEF & WHIZZBANGS takes a wry and often humorous look at life in a front line trench through the eyes of its two reluctant heroes. Smudger, a new arrival at the Front, is keen to shoot his first German whilst Harry is more interested in keeping his head down, thinking of home and enjoying his mug of tea. Stuck ina hole surrounded by mud and death, will our boys cope with the ever-present danger of being shot or blown to smithereens?

“Cheer up chum. What's the worst that can happen!”

Life of Riley
By Alan Ayckbourn

A RAODS Production

Bittersweet, but hilarious - classic Ayckbourn

(Communicating with my husband) is like "talking through a sheet of glass, as if you're in prison - or at the post office". It is lines like that which make every Alan Ayckbourn play a poignant, funny and memorable way to spend an evening at the theatre. In Life of Riley he tells the story of George Riley's closest friends, as they struggle to come to terms with the news that George ("a hippie Peter Pan") has just weeks to live.

"As perceptive as ever ... Ayckbourn has once again achieved a satisfyingly rich complexity" - Daily Telegraph

An Evening of Mediumship with Psychic Tony Stockwell
By Tony Stockwell

Remarkably compelling, amazingly detailed and always humorous.

The popular star of TV’s Street Psychic, Psychic Private Eyes and Psychic Academy, Tony Stockwell has a long established credibility as one of the top Intuitive Mediums and has shared the stage all round the world with international mediums such as Colin Fry, James van Praagh and Lisa Williams. Tony demonstrates his belief that those who have passed can communicate with their loved ones with detailed messages frequently including names, dates and locations and all  delivered with emotion, sensitivity and empathy. The evening may include psychometry, photographs readings and psychic prediction.

Recent legislative guidelines insist that any Evening of Mediumship should be billed ‘for entertainment purposes’. Tony certainly uses his natural wit, showmanship and Cockney charisma to entertain but more important, Mediumship has the potential to change someone’s life and instil in them a sense of peace, comfort and purpose. We hope that nobody can fail to come away untouched by the experience.

Fleetingwood Mac
By Fleetingwood Mac

A young and exciting new tribute to the legendary band, Fleetwood Mac.

We didn’t just want to be  another tribute band, with tacky wigs and fancy dress outfits. Instead we wanted to bring across the live sound of Fleetwood Mac, with just one guitar, a keyboard, a drum kit, a man on the bass and of course, the vocals!

As much as we aim to create a genuine Fleetwood Mac sound, we can’t help but give it a modern edge, it’s just the way we play. How else are five people supposed to play tribute to a band that have lasted nearly 50 years?

Songs you can expect to hear at our shows: Rhiannon, Go Your Own Way, Sisters of the Moon, Oh Well, Tusk, I’m so Afraid, Everywhere, Songbird, Gold Dust Woman, Don’t Stop, You Make Loving Fun, Black Magic Woman, Dreams, Little Lies, Gypsy, Say You Love Me, The Chain, Landslide, Seven Wonders, Silver Spring, Second Hand News, Isn’t it Midnight, Sara, As Long As You Follow, Oh Diane, Big Love, Blue Letter, Hold Me, Green Manalishi, World Turning, Edge Of Seventeen.

We also want to introduce the songs to a new generation of Fleetwood Mac fans, who just like ourselves, weren’t even born when the band were in their prime. We do not go on stage pretending to be Fleetwood Mac, instead we go on as who we are, five young musicians who love the music, and want to share the music of one of the worlds greatest bands to a wider  audience.

Purple Zeppelin - the Ultimate Rock Tribute Show
By Purple Zeppelin

Purple Zeppelin are proud to pay tribute to the two greatest Rock Bands of all time: Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin – together on the same bill! As featured in the BBC TV documentary ‘The Joy of the Guitar Riff’ and twice voted Best UK Tribute Act!

In a ‘full on’ two and a half hour show, using the same stage costumes, guitars and equipment as the original bands, you’ll hear more than 30 classic songs. Basically: THE BEST BITS, ALL OF THE TIME. However, this is more than just a great band performing the ‘Greatest Hits’ – it’s a theatrical insight to these two giants of Rock, complete with special effects, onstage ‘artistic differences’ and even some audience participation!

With the accent firmly on entertainment, this is a show not to be missed, complete with Ritchie Blackmore’s on stage antics, Jimmy Page’s twin neck guitar and theremin and a very special violin bow solo. Purple Zeppelin are four talented and versatile musicians – with decades of playing between them comprising thousands of sessions and gigs, both in the UK and overseas.
