The completed and signed Theatre Booking Form and the Technical Requirements Questionnaire will need to be returned to the Bookings Manager when the hire contract has been agreed. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Hire of all, or part, of the theatre is possible. If you are using the theatre for an event that charges admission, then it is also possible to have a 'box office split' arrangement.
Please note that our charges are laid out in the Table of charges document that you can link to (bottom left of this page). Reductions on this charge are only possible if the hire is for the benefit of a non-theatre related charity and/or no admission fee is charged. 'Box office split' arrangements are subject to discussion with the Bookings Manager. All bookings require the agreement of the Board of Trustees.
If an event requires lighting or sound we will provide an operator or someone to supervise your technicians. All the theatre's technicians are unpaid and may have daytime employment commitments, so weekday technical support is typically available from 5pm.
If you require equipment that the theatre does not possess then you can either use your own, or hire (we can often recommend dealers) but we must insist that our technicians are present when it is set up and it must conform to safety standards. Any equipment brought into the theatre should be adequately insured by the hirer, and PAT tested. You will be required to provide a Risk Assessment for your hire.
The Plaza Theatre have car parking spaces to hire which are numbered. These are available Monday to Saturday until 6.30 pm. The car park has lighting and an access barrier. The cost is £30 per month (no VAT is chargeable), which must be paid one month in advance by standing order. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots.

RAODS wardrobe provides a costume hire service for stage productions and private individuals' fancy dress events. The costume hire facility is available by appointment only with as much notice as possible. Hire charge is usually £20 per costume plus a £20 deposit.
